At The Original W. Hargrove Demolition we use all of our resources and abilities to get the job done as fast as possible. We pride ourselves in quick, complete demolition and thorough clean up afterward. Here is just a sample of the many projects that we have successfully competed. |
Demolition of 160 Ft. Smoke Stack @ Former Hunts Factory
Bridgeton, NJ |
Demolition of the smoke stack was undertaken on June 26, 2001.
At approximately 9:00AM, a crane was brought in to strategically place a 1 1/2" by 400' cable attached to a 973 Loader. Bricks were removed from 28 ft. of the stack's base, which was 1/2 of the 57ft. circumference. The chimney was then pulled down and landed within 2" of a quarter which had been placed on the ground. |

Demolition of the Ice House
Glassboro, NJ
|
The demolition of the Glassboro Ice House was completed in January, 2004. Three bobcats were used to remove the debris from the interior of the structure, prior to demolition. A 60 ft. extension boom was used to complete the demolition, as it allows for better control. |
|
In addition, an excavator with a grapple attachment was used. Several 45 yard tractor trailers and 30 yard open top containers were used to haul away the debris. The project was completed for the Borough of Glassboro under a redevelopment grant. |
